A True Anomaly Experience

Brand photography should do more than make a product look appealing. It should reveal the thinking, atmosphere, and point of view behind the brand. For True Anomaly Brewing, I created a photographic series that translated its aerospace roots and experimental character into a visual language shaped by precision, curiosity, and discovery.

Where aerospace precision meets the culture of craft

True Anomaly was founded by four former NASA colleagues who brought an experimental mindset from aerospace into craft brewing. The brand exists between two seemingly different worlds: technical discipline and creative exploration.

The photography needed to hold both.

Beer imagery can quickly become predictable—another bottle, another pour, another carefully arranged surface. The opportunity was not simply to document the product. It was to create a visual environment where the brand’s personality could become recognizable.

My approach was to treat every composition as part of a larger system.

Light, texture, framing, color, and atmosphere were considered together to build images that felt intentional without becoming rigid. The product remained central, but each photograph also carried a sense of experimentation and possibility.

The objective was not decoration.

It was to make curiosity visible, and give the brand imagery that felt as deliberate as the beer itself.
